Stacie Scherer is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association. She earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Alabama A&M University. Her clinical training and experience focused on a variety of adult psychiatric disorders, including substance abuse, and childhood disorders.
In her private practice, Stacie specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents. She provides treatment planning and counseling services for ADD/ADHD, disruptive behavior problems, and mood and personality problems. She utilizes behavior and play therapy techniques when working with children and assesses parenting skills to coach parents and families in effective behavior management at home.
Stacie also provides counseling services to adults of all ages and treats a wide range of psychological problems. Her services include psychotherapy for individuals, families, and groups. Stacie serves as a life coach for women’s issues and anyone dealing with life struggles, in order to maximize potential for a successful and peaceful life. Stacie will make referrals as needed to sources including other therapists, psychiatrists, physicians, hospitals, businesses, churches, local and state agencies, community social service agencies, and schools.
