Licensed Clinical Social Worker
BACKGROUND AND TRAINING
Jackie is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Alabama. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Alabama. Her clinical experience has been earned in both state and private agency settings. As an Assistant Professor of Social Work, she taught undergraduate Social Work courses at the University of North Dakota. While teaching, she served on the board of directors for a group home for teenaged girls, and on an interagency committee to establish a shelter for battered women. She has been a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers for over 20 years. Jackie's clinical practice focuses on the treatment of families, couples, adults for stress and anxiety, phobias, depression, grief, and family problems. She has recently completed training in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, a method for treating PTSD and other trauma. She is interested in using this training to help veterans and other military personnel.
