Licensed Professional Counselor

Caroline Miller is a Licensed Professional Counselor and member of the Alabama Counseling Association.  She earned a Master of Science degree in Human Services/Community Counseling at the State University of New York at Oswego. Caroline earned a Bachelor of Arts degree as a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Montevallo.

Caroline has extensive experience working with a variety of disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her clinical work with people of all ages includes counseling for couples, families, groups, and individuals. Caroline has experience with such issues as domestic violence, physical/sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, childhood disorders, phobias, and many others.

As a private practitioner, Caroline uses cognitive/behavioral approaches, person-centered therapy, and family systems techniques to provide support and facilitate change. Other clinical techniques are used as appropriate, and she and patients work closely together to develop the most effective approach. 
Caroline specializes in psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, and couples. She encourages setting therapeutic goals and achieving lasting outcomes. In addition, phase-of-life problems, adjustment difficulties, and stress management are all fitting for Caroline’s unique skills.

Caroline is committed to providing excellent service in a supportive, accepting, and comfortable atmosphere, while emphasizing the strengths patients already have.
